I love crime fiction when in the end, the good guy wins — it's redemption at its best when the protagonist is transformed with all his foibles and flaws into a real hero, and then must reach an even higher level in the sequel to be successful.

Lorilyn, Yep for me the good guys definitely have to win. The good guy can have flaws, but definitely has to be on the side of right. Can't be any quesiton. Don't like murky good-guys with huge ethics questions that are never resolved. For me the good has to triumph in the end.
